The Stuff headline claimed that Judith Collins said that venues should be able to bar unvaccinated people from entering. This headline gives the impression that Judith Collins:

a) thinks that venues should have the right to discriminate and

b) is suggesting that venues should discriminate against unvaccinated people.

Here are some direct quotes of what she actually said. Decide for yourselves whether the headline was misleading or not.

National Leader Judith Collins

“That’s their choice – they’ll probably lose a lot of people who aren’t vaccinated, but that’s their choice, and they need to take responsibility for that.”

National Leader Judith Collins

“We’re hearing from some employers, carpet layers, that they can’t send staff to people’s homes because the homeowners are saying they want to make sure they’re vaccinated. So there’s so much fear in the community,”

National Leader Judith Collins

“No one’s expected to be vaccinated for anything else when they come to work,”

National Leader Judith Collins

“I’d say they should get advice I certainly wouldn’t fire them or ban them or anything, because we do believe in personal responsibility.”
