When Donald Trump called the mainstream media the “enemy of the people”, the talking heads exploded. How dare he, indeed.
But if seriously undermining America’s democracy, fomenting civil unrest and propagating known lies with the intent of undermining elected leaders constitutes an enemy of the people, then Trump was absolutely right.
Over the past five years, the mainstream media have peddled any number of known lies. From the Covington Kids, to Russian Collusion, to “Trump called Nazis ‘very fine people’”, and “mostly peaceful protests”, these lies have caused perhaps irretrievable damage to American democracy. In every case, the media knew they were lies, but they deliberately pursued them as an organised campaign to oust a democratically elected president.
Their latest Big Lie – that the January 6 Capitol unrest was an organised “insurgency” – is perhaps the biggest and most damaging of all.
The FBI has found scant evidence that the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol was the result of an organized plot to overturn the presidential election result, according to four current and former law enforcement officials.
Everything the mainstream media have been fog-horning about the events of January 6 is simply untrue. From the false claim that officer Brian Sicknick was killed by protesters beating him with a fire extinguisher, to the hysterical claims that it was an insurgency planned by the “far-right” and Trump supporters.
Though federal officials have arrested more than 570 alleged participants, the FBI at this point believes the violence was not centrally coordinated by far-right groups or prominent supporters of then-President Donald Trump, according to the sources, who have been either directly involved in or briefed regularly on the wide-ranging investigations.
“Ninety to ninety-five percent of these are one-off cases,” said a former senior law enforcement official with knowledge of the investigation. “Then you have five percent, maybe, of these militia groups that were more closely organized. But there was no grand scheme with Roger Stone and Alex Jones and all of these people to storm the Capitol and take hostages”[…]
But one source said there has been little, if any, recent discussion by senior Justice Department officials of filing charges such as “seditious conspiracy” to accuse defendants of trying to overthrow the government. They have also opted not to bring racketeering charges, often used against organized criminal gangs[…]
Prosecutors have also not brought any charges alleging that any individual or group played a central role in organizing or leading the riot. Law-enforcement sources told Reuters no such charges appeared to be pending.
Yet these are the very claims which have been leveraged by the Democrats to enforce an unprecedented police state. Washington was occupied by heavily armed troops for months, with barricades and razor wire around the White House.
The known lies of the mainstream media were also used to try to impeach President Trump a second time.

But there is one liar even bigger and more shameless than the mainstream media: Big Tech.
As the storming of the Capitol building on January 6th was still unfolding a despicable gremlin of a woman at The New York Times, Sheera Frenkel, was already crafting a totally baseless lie along with her demonic friends at the ADL and Facebook’s COO Sheryl Sandberg about the event being “planned” on both Gab and Parler.
The ADL also went as far as demanding the DOJ investigate both myself individually and Gab as a whole for “intentionally aided or abetted individuals who carried out the January 6 attack on the nation’s Capitol.”
Sheryl Sandberg, the COO of the largest social network on the internet that happens to have a specific feature for organizing and planning events, also deflected the blame on Gab and Parler. “Facebook chief operating officer Sheryl Sandberg has sought to deflect blame, noting the role of smaller, right-leaning services such as Parler and Gab.”

Parler was immediately removed from App stores and hosting services. What had been a surging social media rival to Facebook and Twitter was nipped in the bud and has never recovered.
Facebook not only got away with not taking any responsibility for January 6, it has gone on to become the de facto communications network for the Taliban.
If it walks like an enemy of the people, and quacks like an enemy of the people… what else would you call it?
