Remember when forced vaccination was a “right-wing conspiracy theory”?
Yet France is enacting laws to jail anyone who tries to do practically anything except cower in their homes without a passe sanitaire. Anyone who refuses to turn state snitch likewise faces jail. Britain is heading rapidly down the same authoritarian road.
Is anyone really stupid or naive enough to think that it will stop there?
Especially when the US government is openly canvassing forced vaccination.
During an appearance on Fox News Friday, CDC director Rochelle Walensky indicated the Biden administration is considering a federal vaccine mandate, as vaccination rates plateau and scepticism persists in certain regions of the country.
To put this in context, already more than half of the US population has submitted to vaccination. The rate is rising rapidly, even in least-vaccinated states like Arkansas.
So “vaccine hesitancy” is a chimaera.
When host Bret Baier asked if Walensky supports requiring vaccination on a federal level, she replied, “That’s something that I think the administration is looking into. It’s something that I think we are looking to see approval of from the vaccine”[…]
When Baier raised the objections of the vaccine-hesitant and their claims to bodily autonomy and personal choice in a private medical decision, Walensky seemed to sympathize with their concerns. “I completely understand the pushback,” she said. However, she said that the COVID shot is not the first vaccine to be treated as a condition of travel, employment, public schooling, or entry to other settings.
While she emphasized that the onus is on the CDC to persuade the unconvinced, Walensky implied in her statement that state coercion is not off the table.
National Review
Firstly, vaccination for travel is a false equivalency: it’s a case of countries where certain diseases are endemic requiring vaccination for entry, not countries demanding vaccination to leave. This is completely reversing accepted practice. It used to be that only Soviet countries refused to let people leave.
As for persuasion: then, persuade. No idea is so great that it has to be forced on people against their will (however much socialists may labour under that delusion).
Obviously sensing that coercion is likely to be as popular as Kamala Harris at a Democrat presidential primary, Walensky rapidly backtracked.
The head of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said Friday “there will be no nationwide mandate” for the COVID-19 vaccine, clarifying comments she made about the administration looking into such a mandate.
So, what exactly did she clarify?
Walensky later clarified that she was referring to mandates by private institutions and parts of the federal government.
“There will be no nationwide mandate. I was referring to mandates by private institutions and portions of the federal government. There will be no federal mandate,” Walensky tweeted.
So… private institutions and the government. Is there anyone she missed? Because that sounds an awful lot like a mandate.
President Biden has directed federal employees and onsite contractors to show that they are vaccinated or submit to weekly virus testing. The president said Thursday that he’d like to see private companies and state governments mandate vaccinations, as well.
New York City, California and a handful of private companies have introduced vaccine mandates in recent weeks.

Remember when mandated vaccines were a crazy conspiracy theory?
You know — back when we had “two weeks to flatten the curve”.
