Coffey said he believed Rotorua had the capacity to welcome tourists “while showing that same manaakitanga to families and children in need of a warm, secure dry home during a global pandemic”.

“If Australians choose not to come here, it will be because of incorrect information that some of our community leaders are promoting, and just plain negativity.”
