As is becoming clear from the FBI’s own evidence, the January 6 Capitol riot was not spontaneously “incited” by President Trump. On the contrary, it was – as the FBI apparently knew long beforehand – well-planned and executed by small groups of highly-organised agitators.
But just who were these agitators? Right-wing apologists would have us believed that they dindu nuffin’ and it was all a stitch-up by wicked lefties. According to this narrative, Antifa and BLM types in brand-new MAGA hats deliberately egged on the unrest as a “false flag” operation. This is only kinda-sorta true.
It’s a fact that some left-wing activists deliberately acted as provocateurs. But it’s also true that some of the most deliberate planners were right-wing activists. Then there are people who were most definitely not on Trump’s side, even if they aren’t exactly “left-wing”.
Some people just wanted to watch the government burn.
The leader of an anti-Trump group has admitted involvement in the storming of the Capitol on January 6, saying although the group is largely opposed to President Trump, they embraced the moment to strike against the government.
In a January 8 interview with Reuters, Mike Dunn, “of the ‘Boogaloo’ anti-government movement, whose adherents anticipate a revolution toppling the federal government or a second U.S. civil war,” said three or four groups of loyalists under his command helped storm the Capitol in hopes that it would trigger more action in the months ahead.
The media would have us believe that the Boogaloo Bois (as in “Civil War 2: Electric Boogaloo”) are a “far-right” organisation. But then, the media would have us believe that months of violent BLM riots were “peaceful protests”. We get it: the media lie.
So who are the Boogaloo Bois? A little like herding cats, really: self-described Boogaloos are all over the political map. Some are right-wing, others libertarian, still others align themselves with the far-left. But, like cats, they have one common purpose: cause havoc.
In news articles describing the group as “MAGA protesters,” members can be seen waving LGBTQ flags, Trans flags, and sporting Black Lives Matter apparel.
As “MAGA protesters” do – just like “peaceful protesters” burn down cities and murder dozens of people.
The Gateway Pundit also revealed that Dunn was spotted last Saturday in front of the VA State Capitol holding a firearm and providing security for Black Lives Matter protesters “despite newly enacted legislation that bans guns at the Capitol and legislative office building.”
Dunn was nothing if not open about his group’s actions and motives on Twitter – before the platform helpfully scrubbed his account. Luckily the internet is forever and new media outlet the Gateway Pundit was able to obtain his archived tweets.
On January 6, Dunn tweeted that the ‘Boogaloo Bois’ had teams inside and outside the Capitol, saying: “BB teams have been activated in VA and we currently have 4 fireteams inside capital and 7 more outside. Sic Semper Tyrannis”
According to Dunn, the purpose of the tactical teams was to “revel in the breach of security while mocking the defenses that protect Tyrants… whether that be Trump or others.”
Dunn is clear that he and his group were not supporting Trump.
A Twitter user then responded to Dunn’s tweet, saying the Trump supporters Dunn claimed to have “stormed the capital building” were actually “infiltrators, not real MAGA.”
Dunn responded: “Yeh we know. ;)”
Dunn later took to Parler where he issued an “official statement” about the group’s involvement in the Capitol protest, admitting there were undercover teams present on the day who “hyped up the people” prior to breaching the building.
According to Reuters, Dunn said he did not participate in the Capitol siege himself, but he shared footage on social media that purported to show Boogaloo members fighting with police and forcing their way through barriers outside the building.

Nothing we’re being told about the riot by the mainstream media is true: it was not spontaneously incited by the president and it was not solely the actions of the president’s supporters. This doesn’t wholly absolve the denialism on much of the right, either: Trump supporters were involved, some of them as pre-planned instigators.
But there was also a whole lot more going on that the media or the left don’t want us to ask questions about.
