National has announced its 2020 party list. A key focus is who will get in at different vote levels. To answer this we need to make some assumptions. They are:
- National retains 40 electorate seats (currently has 41)
- There is 5% wasted vote

- 27 Nancy Lu 39.5%
- 28 Parmjeet Parmar 40.3%
- 29 Agnes Loheni 41.1%
- 30 Dale Stephens 41.9%
- 31 Alfred Ngaro 42.7%
- 32 Brett Hudson 43.5%
- 45 Jo Hayes 44.2%
- 46 Katie Nimon 45.0%
Those in the above list places will be very focused on lifting the party vote!
