When the “pizzagate” conspiracy theory first erupted in right-wing political circles, I thought it was the nuttiest conspiracy theory I’d heard since the 80s “Satanic Panic”. In fact, the two seemed almost identical.
I still think pizzagate is a nutty conspiracy. But, just because there’s a nutty conspiracy theory, it doesn’t mean that there’s not something very dark going on. And it is being peddled, aided and abetted largely by the political left – and increasingly not on the fringe.
When Australian academic Garry Dowsett wrote glowingly about pederasty in the 1980s, he may have been on the fringe. But, today, Dowsett is very much near the centre of the left-wing establishment. And he is still advocating for such things as abolishing the age of consent. At the same time, the mainstream left media, from the New York Times to Salon have run a slew of pieces reframing paedophilia from a crime to a “sexual orientation”.
The push to normalise paedophilia is creeping into schools, too. Dowsett is a leader at a think-tank that was behind the controversial “Safe Schools” gender indoctrination program in schools. Greens leader Adam Bandt praised a program that taught pre-teen girls how to send nude selfies.
A college in Ohio is teaching students that pedophilia is a “sexual orientation” that could be part of the “acceptance of diverse sexual identities.”
A student from the college tweeted a photograph of a lecture slide titled, “Pedophilia as a Sexual Orientation.”
“An actual topic we discussed in class at a State University after watching in 8 minute Vice News video showcasing self-identified pedophiles. This is going to be mainstreamed,” the student said.
This is certainly not the first time schools have pushed to normalize pedophilia for the next generation. The acceptance of pedophilia is the next frontier, and they’re prepping our kids young to fight for it.
They’re not exactly hiding it, either, from anyone who bothers to look.
Earlier this year, government school officials in California horrified concerned parents by admitting to teaching students that pedophilia and pederasty is a “sexual orientation”[…]
In a recorded exchange with Assistant Superintendent of Curricula, Kerrie Torres, Yates asked why pedophilia was being taught in class to 9th graders.“This is really important for us to include,” Torres replied. “This is done because we’re talking about historical perspectives of how gender relations and different types of sexual orientations have existed in history. This is something that’s occurred in history, and so, this is really important for us to include.”
Once child rape becomes a mere “sexual orientation”, it’s but a step away from being sheltered under the diversity rainbow.
Alex Newman from the Freedom Project rightly said it’s hard to overstate the devastating implications of defining pedophilia as a “sexual orientation.”
“With ‘sexual orientation’ increasingly becoming a legally protected category across almost half of the states already — with Congress working on it too — the implications of defining pedophilia and pederasty as such are hard to overstate.”
In many parts, it’s prohibited to discriminate on the basis of ‘sexual orientation’. So, what would that mean for schools, daycares or children’s hospitals when a pedophile with an alternative ‘sexual orientation’ turns up looking for a job?
It might be tempting to wave this away as just more left-wing nuttiness. But left-wing nuttiness has real-world consequences: cities across America have burned because of a “Black Lives Matter” narrative which has no basis in objective reality.
American schools are also seeing a wave of teachers convicted for abusing their students. Alarmingly, many are female – alarming, because, statistically, most child abusers are male. The wave of new cases suggest that there may either have been a long series of child abuse by females which never came to light, or that, for every female teacher convicted, many more males are getting away with it.
Either way, the push by educators to inculcate children with the notion that paedophilia is just another sexual orientation takes on a very, very worrying significance.
