Today in 1977, Jefferson Starship were stopped from giving a free concert at Golden Gate Park when San Francisco authorities passed a resolution banning electronic instruments. The group later wrote “We Built This City” about the ban.
Died today in 2001, session keyboardist Tommy Eyre aged 51. He recorded and played with many acts including Joe Cocker, Gary Moore, Alex Harvey and Jerry Rafferty
