It takes a special kind of creep to celebrate a global pandemic that’s cost the lives of some 200,000 people. But then, we already knew that greens are special kinds of creeps. And they’re not holding back in celebrating death and misery in the name of holy mother Gaia.

Greens have been on this anti-human kick for decades, of course. One of the founders of modern environmentalism, the eternally-wrong Paul Ehrlich was primarily motivated by his unconcealed revulsion at the sight of so many humans. So, when a pandemic strikes, green types are not-so-silently barracking for the virus.

The latest cheer-leader for the epidemic is Australian model Elyse Knowles who this week described Coronavirus as “a gift” given to the planet.

“Mother Nature has proven to us all that by minimising the collective human footprint, our world can take a breath and re-set,” she told online magazine A Conscious Collection.

Green misanthropism has been a running, if subtle, theme behind the media headlines – many of them fake news – cooing over the supposed “return of nature” during widespread lockdowns. They’re not bothering with subtlety any more, though.

This is not just one know-nothing bint who gets paid far too much money to wear clothes, either. There’s thousands of other know-nothings loudly agreeing with her.

Ms Knowles, a Myer ambassador when the store is not in lockdown to allow Mother Nature to take a breath, received support online including one person who wrote: “Humans are the plague of the earth and in lockdown the world is starting to slowly heal itself before we start destroying it again.”

Did you get that? The plague is not the plague. Humans are the plague. And so that’s why they’re cheering for COVID-19.

It’s not just dipshit models, either. Some years ago, I debated a senior Labor official who was earnestly proposing the “urgent” reduction of the global population to 2 billion in just 50 years. When I did the maths and showed that achieving his goal would require, not just the immediate cessation of all births, but the active murder of some 80 million humans a year, for 50 years, he was utterly unfazed.

This is the soulless depravity of the anti-human eco-fascists.

An article in the environmental magazine Wild Earth went beyond calling for a human cull and actually promoted “voluntary human extinction”, a “phasing out of the human race” that would solve the planet’s problems[…]

Curiously, Wild Earth continued to be published for another 13 years. When the magazine did disappear from the planet, in 2004, it wasn’t because staff had kindly phased themselves out of existence for the betterment of the planet. Evidently, they wanted other people to give voluntary extinction a chance.

This should hardly be surprising. Environmentalism is very much a rich, white person’s game (it’s not for nothing that the Australian Greens’ vote is almost exclusively concentrated in the richest, whitest suburbs of Australia). Poor, brown people are too preoccupied with footling problems like having something to eat and not dying of easily preventable diseases to take the time to worry about First World Problems like how to wipe out the human race for the good of the planet.

It’s also no surprise to learn of the deep links between the emergence of the green movement and Nazism. The modern movement calling itself “eco-fascism” is just greens who are honest about their totalitarian misanthropy.
