Many songs get covered or re-interpreted, the covers often being more successful than the original.

Here are some cover versions of one song along with the original, let us know in the comments which is your favourite, or if you don’t like any of them.

“I Ain’t Superstitious” is a song written by Willie Dixon and first recorded by Howling Wolf in 1961.

It has since been recorded by many other acts including:

Savoy Brown (then called the Savoy Brown Blues Band) included it on their 1967 debut album “Shake Down”.

The Jeff Beck Group recorded their version on their 1968 debut album “Truth”.

Willie Dixon put his own spin on his own song on his 1970 album “I Am The Blues”.

Megadeath included their version on the 1986 album “Peace Sells….But Who’s Buying?”

The Groundhogs recorded their version on the 1988 album “Hogs In Wolf’s Clothing”

Santana put his take on the song in his 2010 album “Guitar Heaven”.

Just a bloke getting on with life, seemingly becoming less tolerant, more grumpy and politically incorrect as I go.
