Euthanasia policy
New Conservative is opposed to the decriminalisation of euthanasia. New Conservative is committed to increasing funding where necessary to provide for the best palliative care possible, and to help family members who are caring for the terminally ill.
New Conservative will accept the outcome of the public referendum on euthanasia which will be held in conjunction with the 2020 general election. In the interest of democracy, we hope that any and all media coverage regarding the referenda will be unbiased, and that robust, respectful, educational and informative debates surrounding euthanasia will be pursued.
Regardless of the referendum outcome, New Conservative will increase funding where necessary to provide for the best palliative care.
