Milo Yiannopoulos.

There’s a name which you most likely haven’t heard in a long time.

The last real mention of Milo in mainstream media was the announcement that his Facebook and Instagram accounts (which had millions of followers) were to be deleted, which effectively de-platformed him from Social Media.

While the likes of Ben Shapiro and Charlie Kirk are some of the leading voices on the right, it’s often forgotten that it was Milo who started one of the greatest movements in recent political history, which eventually lead to Donald Trump becoming President.

With his US college tour, Milo travelled across America, selling out university halls and creating mayhem at every turn. He created a frenzy, the type of giddy atmosphere which we hadn’t seen for a very long time. He did the impossible and got young people interested in politics.

Milo was responsible for creating the excitement and optimism on the political right which Charlie Kirk has hi-jacked and pretended he invented.

Plenty of factors influenced Trump’s narrow victory. Hillary’s emails, her infamous “We’re going to put a lot of coal miners out of work’ gaffe and most of all, Donald Trump’s refreshing ‘America First’ rhetoric.

But let’s not forget who started the conservative resurgence in the 18-34-year-old age bracket.

Milo effectively gave up his career (losing millions of dollars in the process), to lead young, disenfranchised millennials into voting for Donald Trump.

Of course, Milo would be the first to admit he enjoyed the spotlight and attention. But he’s paid a price which no one else has had to. He lost his career. He lost an income. He was cancelled.

So when you see this new breed of young conservative commentator, just remember that they wouldn’t be there without Milo.

Despite this, Milo Yianoppolous is still going strong with a weekly TV show on Censored.TV called ‘Friday Night’s Alright’, which I highly recommend that you subscribe to. He is one of the most entertaining media personalities around.

He’s also publisher of half a dozen books, including the New York Times Best Seller, Dangerous.

We should be doing everything we can to keep Milo in business because people like him don’t come around often.
