The US mainstream media has shown itself to be totally biased, unreliable and dishonest, pushing a strong anti-Trump and pro-Democrat agenda since before the 2016 election. There seems to be no end to the outright dishonesty. Formerly reputable news organizations like CNN and other major TV networks, award-winning papers like the New York Times and Washington Post, publish so many outright lies, twisted and distorted half-truths and totally biased opinion that they’ve become laughable purveyors of fiction.
Fox News meanwhile portrays itself as the one network that unashamedly provides the truth. Certainly, if you’re a Trump supporter, you’ll get a completely different slant on the Trump administration from them than you will from the others.
One could almost rename Fox News “Trump TV” and not be too far off the mark, but they regularly present Democrats on their panels which delivers a much-needed balance.
While all the left-wing media has completely ignored Biden’s quid pro quo story, Fox has been running it regularly with constant challenges to the others about why they’re not.
Here’s what Biden actually said in a presentation in front of a large audience run by the Council on Foreign Relations in September 2019:
I was supposed to announce that there was another billion-dollar loan guarantee. And I had gotten a commitment from Poroshenko and from Yatsenyuk that they would take action against the state prosecutor. And they didn’t. So they said they had—they were walking out to a press conference. I said, nah, I’m not going to—or, we’re not going to give you the billion dollars. They said, you have no authority. You’re not the president. The president said—I said, call him. (Laughter.) I said, I’m telling you, you’re not getting the billion dollars. I said, you’re not getting the billion. I’m going to be leaving here in, I think it was about six hours. I looked at them and said: I’m leaving in six hours. If the prosecutor is not fired, you’re not getting the money. Well, son of a bitch. (Laughter.) He got fired
Slam Dunk! A clear quid pro quo publicly admitted on video and under no duress whatsoever.
Context is missing from this transcript (and the clips Fox has been running) but what has been said is undeniably a quid pro quo.
The Democrats have attacked Trump incessantly since 2016 on nothing more than the fact that they don’t like him. There is no sign of any evidence of Trump doing anything at all wrong. The only thing they seem to have against him is that he’s maybe being dislikeable. They’ve thrown all they have at him ranging from Russian collusion to racism, misogyny, obstruction of justice and even being orange but still no evidence of anything. Yet the hearings and leaks and innuendo remain incessant both from the Democrats and the media.
Contrast that with Biden’s clear and very public admission.
Surely at a political level, the defenders of the constitution who claim their witch hunt against Trump is not political but is a matter of integrity and “nobody is above the law”, would immediately implement a formal congressional investigation into this?
Surely, if the mainstream media want to retain any semblance of impartiality and credibility, they should be all over this?
Apparently not. Nothing to see here. Moving right along.
To quote another world-famous Democrat, there is “an inconvenient truth” associated with this as well that arguably makes Biden’s position even more untenable.
At about the same time that Biden was extorting the Ukrainians (2014), his son Hunter was appointed a director of one of Ukraine’s largest independent natural gas companies, Burisma, owned by a Cyprus based company, owned by former politician Mykola Zlochevsky, who was ousted from Ukrainian politics in 2014 amidst allegations of corruption and who now lives in exile in Russia.
The now fired prosecutor was investigating multiple corruption, tax evasion and money laundering charges against Zlochevsky and Burisma.
So, Hunter Biden who has no history in business or the Ukraine visited the Ukraine on Air Force 2 with his father, Vice President Joe and left as a Director of Burisma at some $US50,000 a month and coincidentally, before they leave, Joe gets the prosecutor who is investigating Burisma fired.
“I’m leaving in six hours. If the prosecutor is not fired, you’re not getting the money. Well, son of a bitch. (Laughter.) He got fired.”
Evidently, nothing to see here either. Move right along.
