The mainstreaming of anti-Semitism among the political left around the world often seems as perplexing as it is shocking. After all, it’s the left who’ve made a fetish out of supposed “anti-racism”. Jews in the US lean heavily to the left of politics (Jews in Britain are less sanguine about the left).
A large part of the answer lies in the contemporary left’s slavish devotion to the cult of “intersectionality”. Under the baleful influence Marxist post-modernism, the left conveniently ranks everyone into bad “oppressors” and virtuous “victims”. So far as the left is concerned, the biggest victims are Muslims. The left just loves Muslims.
But Muslims don’t much like Jews. So, neither does the left.
This political cancer is most advanced in Britain, where anti-Semitism is practically endemic in Corbynite Labour, but it’s metastasizing to the US and Australia – and even Canada.
Several Liberal and NDP candidates have apologized for their decision to frequently advertise with openly antisemitic newspapers.
Wait, what are we talking about, here? The Daily Stormer? The Völkischer Beobachter?
The activity of the candidates was first discovered by B’nai Brith Canada, who has been tracking the activity of the “Ontario-based Arabic-language newspaper” al-Forqan.
One NDP candidate, Brian Masse, and three Liberal candidates, Sandra Pupatello, Irek Kusmierczyk, and Audrey Festeryga all advertised with this newspaper, which has continually advocated for political Jihad and the need to bomb Israel.
“In 2016, B’nai Brith exposed an editorial in al-Forqan that praised terrorist attacks in Israel as a “sacred duty of jihad.”
…This is the same newspaper that found it appropriate to publish “The Hour [of Judgment] will not come until the Muslims fight the Jews and kill them” and lines such as “Lying is an attribute inherent to the Jews!”
Such vibrant multiculturalism! Diversity is obviously Canada’s strength.
The other newspaper is the Toronto-based al-Meshwar, which has also praised terrorist attacks and openly advocated for the elimination of Jews.
Scarborough Centre MP Salma Zahid had been advertising with al-Meshwar, saying that [s]he was completely unaware of such posts and advocacy and will never advertise with them again, reports B’nai Brith Canada.

The real issue ought to be: why are there even newspapers in Canada publishing this stuff?
Tahir Gora, co-author of “The Danger of Political Islam to Canada”, writes of Zahid, “MPs Iqra Khalid, Salma Zahid and Omar Alghabra have all threatened and harassed me and my wife publicly in the past. Even though I wrote an open letter to PM Justin Trudeau and emailed to it almost all Canadian parliamentarians detailing this harassment, I have never been contacted by any government office about these threats”.
As is happening right across the West, left-wing parties are more and more pandering to their preferred “victim” groups. Muslims are riding high on the intersectionality totem pole. Sorry, Jews: you lose.
