The Mighty All blacks weren’t so mighty. In fact, some have described what happened as a “total capitulation.” Even though I am no sports fan I was shocked to see a coach of one of the teams (I have no idea which one) happily state on camera that one of his players had, had a little cry in the changing rooms! Seriously? A cry?
Sure it is okay for a man to cry…occasionally…in private, but to have a coach of what is supposed to be the manliest of sports publicly state that one of his players was crying like a wee babee showed how low the sport has sunk.
After listening to my husband’s comments after the All Blacks’ loss I have come to the following conclusion (with his help)
“Those dickheads think their shit doesn’t stink.” They are growing porn-staches!
Having woke moments and inclusivity group hugs while giving special attention to minority religious and non-religious groups is not what rugby should be about.
The question fans and the board need to be asking is, what would Colin Meads or Cowboy Shaw or Wayne Shelford or Andy Hayden or Richard Loe think about all this woke bullshit?

Richard Hadlee said years back “we never had so many injuries or muscle twinges until we got a medic. Then the team started lining up for a consultation”.
In addition to that, there is the wokeness and anti-Folau antics of TJ Perenara and the show-poniness of Sonny Bill Williams. Also, there was the case of All Black and Chiefs player, Angus Ta’avao, who donned rainbow laces in support of something gay.
They are paid to play rugby and win and make a nation happy. Not meddle in unnecessary diversions.
It’s akin to Hollywood actors thinking that everyone cares about what they think. Those people who rise to fame in areas unrelated to politics really need to understand that most people see them more akin to circus clowns paid to perform at what they are supposedly good at. That’s it. Sports fans aren’t interested in rainbow shoelaces, political or religious hobby horses and tears. They want men…real men who go out there and play the game hard and win.
Sonny Bill Williams makes a big show of praising Allah when he scores a try, or they win a game. I didn’t see him and his fellow All Black Ofa Tuungafasi on their knees, bum up begging Allah to save them from capitulation. England wanted to win more than the All Blacks and played accordingly.
The selectors need to pick team players and forget this woke bullshit that cost them a game.
