In The Social Network, Mark Zuckerberg (Jesse Eisenberg) snaps that the Winklevoss twins are suing him, “because for the first time in their lives, things didn’t work out the way they were supposed to for them”. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau must know exactly how they felt.

Trudeau is the privileged scion of Canada’s liberal elite who, as Mark Steyn said, became prime minister for no other apparent reason than that he was entitled to it. But Trudeau’s first bid for re-election is proving decidedly rocky. It just got rockier, as Trudeau’s penchant for playing dress-ups came back to bite him in a very, very big way.

A photograph dug up by Time appears to show prime minister Justin Trudeau wearing “brownface” while at a themed party in 2001.

It doesn’t “appear” to anything. That’s Trudeau, all right, in not “brownface” as they’re coyly dubbing it, but full-on, boot-polish-jigaboo blackface. As opposed to Disney’s Aladdin, who was merely a light tan.

The racist photo was allegedly taken in 2001 at an “Arabian Nights” party at a private school where Trudeau was teaching. The school in question was West Point Grey Academy, in Vancouver, B.C. and Trudeau taught several classes at the school.

This particular black hole just keeps getting deeper, though…

During the press conference, the prime minister repeatedly wouldn’t rule out further instances where he had donned blackface […] During Trudeau’s apology yesterday evening, he admitted to one other incident, where he claims he sang “Day-O,” commonly known as “The Banana Boat Song”, in racialized make-up.

Earlier today, Global News released video of yet another incident in which Trudeau is in full blackface make-up, with black covering his face and reportedly his legs as well.

Here’s the thing, though: I don’t care. Trudeau could have danced naked in blackface and a sombrero for all I care. This whole thing of, as Dave Chappelle lashes it, “Uh, duh, hey, durr, if you do anything wrong in your life, duh, and I find out about it, I’m gonna try to take everything away from you and I don’t care when I find out. Could be today, tomorrow, 15, 20 years from now. If I find out, you’re f–king, duh, finished,” needs to stop.

The photograph is the latest hit to Trudeau’s now-crumbling progressive and fresh image. The revelation comes at a time when the Liberal party has been attempting to save face from the damning SNC-Lavalin scandal.

Don’t kid me; hasn’t someone been sitting on this photo, waiting for the Canadian election to be called, so they could spring their hatchet job?

At the same time, I’ll admit that it is kind of fun, watching the unicorn prince of woke-ness get hoist with his own petard. Trudeau is the smug prick who waves his “progressive” little rainbow flags in everyone’s faces, so his comeuppance is hilariously satisfying.

But, a principle is a principle. If we can’t extend our principles to the guy we don’t like, they’re worth as little as Raybon Kan’s, “I believe in free speech, but…”

Move on, and concentrate on the real issues. It’s not like there’s any shortage of them to hang Trudeau and his government with. Embarrassing photos from nearly 20 years ago are the least of it. He was young and being an idiot at a silly party.

All anyone should care about is that he is now middle-aged and in charge of the silly party that is screwing Canadian voters over.

Still, the memes are GOLD.
