It is good to see that the NZ Police are finally giving the gangs the same treatment that they dish out to innocent 12-year-old girls looking after their horses. But what’s with the weird headline on this Stuff article? Surely when an armed police raid on a gang pad is carried out and two people are arrested, a better headline might be something along the lines of ‘Police Raid Gang Scum and Lock Them Up’. Maybe that’s just me though?

Two men have been arrested following a raid on a New Plymouth gang pad which uncovered illegal firearms and ammunition.
The weapons were found when police executed a planned search of a house, known to be occupied by members of the Mongrel Mob, on Lawry St in Moturoa on Wednesday.

Good on the police though for finally going after the gun-toting criminals. At least the government won’t have to pay any compensation for these ones, although I do hope they can keep tabs on these weapons. You wouldn’t want to be accidentally leaving a door open so that the Mob could just walk back in and get their shooters back!

It will also be interesting to see what sort of penalty these ‘Men in their 20s’ get, given the hysteria surrounding the gun confiscation scheme. Actual ‘alleged‘ bad guys with actual ‘alleged’ illegal firearms must surely warrant a decent penalty, presuming their well-paid lawyers don’t get them off, of course.

We shall watch with interest and let you know how long their community service sentence is, you know, presuming they are found guilty and after appropriate discounts for cultural issues, colonialism etc are made.

Oh and by the way, if you would like to purchase a Mongrel Mob patch for yourself, you can get them here on AliExpress for only $30 USD. They have a nice range of ladies coin purses too.
