Don José back again with another 4 great cigars!

Each week I’ll be posting a little bit of info on 4 different cigars that are available through CANTEROS.nz and why they made my humidor.

As always there are links to where you can find them so that you can get your hands on some for the weekend

Oscar Valladares LEAF Sumatra

New to New Zealand with a stack of other firsts from Oscar Valladares is The Leaf – Sumatra!

Those of you that have had The Leaf Maduro know just how good The Leaf line is and to have it come in an Ecuadorian Sumatra… DAMN!

There is only 36 of these in stock as I write this so I wouldn’t muck about.. – I’m off to buy half that for myself now!

Punch – Egg Roll

This cigar is a must try! Not just because it’s good, which it is, but more because if you want to truly understand just how much difference the wrapper of a cigar makes, this will show you.

The wrapper at the foot of this stick is cut back leaving only binder and filler (designed to resemble an egg roll) This means that for the first few minutes of smoking you are smoking without the wrapper and then the wrapper kicks in and holy Sh*t does it change!

You won’t be alone if you think very little of it to begin with, but once that wrapper comes into play you not only appreciate its existence but realise just how good the rest of the stick is.

Kenner 1927 Family Cigars

This cigar is an interesting one. It’s a great stick, well worthy of being in this article and in your humidor but that’s not why it’s here. It’s here because I want you to not miss out.

Have a bit of a google, you won’t find anything. This box has been with Grant for some time now, there are no more, there will never be any more, as far as I know. And in the world, it’s like they never existed in the first place…

If you haven’t had one before, or even if you have and don’t have any in your humidor, you should grab some.

Come get some!

Alec Bradley – Black Market Esteli

Next up the Black Market Esteli by Alec Bradley. Unlike the other cigars in this article, this isn’t new. It isn’t a limited stick that will soon run out and it most likely won’t teach you anything you don’t already know about cigars.

So why is it in the article? Well it’s in there because it’s still bloody underrated! This cigar is IMO the best regular line cigar made by AB if not THE best cigar they have ever made… So why wouldn’t you want one?
