The White Label Project is a line used to release experimental blends and one off cigars by Viaje.  Generally very little information is released about the blends in the WLP line and it is likely that successful blends are later released as a regular line cigar. So let’s take a look at the details.

The story behind this stick is that the original wrapper being used was just not working so the decision was made to try it with a San Andres. The results were great and it was released. Hence – Lemons to Lemonade. Well how is it?

Construction9/10
Strength7.5/10
Draw10/10
Burn9/10

The San Andres wrapper is a great wrapper and this is a very nice example of one. Good maduro colouring and a decent amount of tooth. There is a small blemish on this sample dropping it from a 10. Flavours

This cigar is right up my ally. It begins with a nice creamy smoothness and a hint of sweetness. Later comes a light pepper and some earthy flavours with an underlying coffee.

Smoking

The smoking is near perfect. Burn is fantastic with a nice tight light ash, draw is plentiful and it is nice and consistent.

Overall

This is a fantastic cigar that I would like to see make it into a regular blend for Viaje. I will be grabbing a few more of these for my humidor for sure! That it’s for this review, let me know what you think of the new format, if there is something I’ve not brought across from the old format you really liked or you would like to see something particular just shout out.
